Thyroid Hormone Therapy

The thyroid is an endocrine gland in the base of the neck, which helps to control many important bodily functions via the release of thyroid hormones. The thyroid hormone is responsible for regulating many of your body’s core functions including growth and energy expenditure. If your thyroid becomes overactive (hyperthyroidism) or underactive (hypothyroidism), you can be at risk of experiencing a range of health issues. 

Your health practitioner will usually conduct a thyroid function test to determine how your thyroid is functioning. If thyroid dysfunction is present, our compounding pharmacists will work with you and your doctor to provide the right treatment.  

Our preparations include compounded capsules that can contain:thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), along with no additives and only one inert filler, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare practitioner.
